The mood

Rain has just passed over the garden pool, leaving petals suspended among soft reflections. Dawn Peach spreads that diffused light across the booking experience, while Reflection Ink gives dates, room names, and prices a steady violet structure.

Pool Mist opens a cool layer for room choices. Floating Petal adds a pale violet lift, and Wet Stone grounds small amenity and arrival details. The colors move gently between water, fabric, and garden without losing the clarity a reservation flow needs.

How to use it

Use Dawn Peach for the main booking canvas and Reflection Ink for headings, date controls, prices, and body copy. Pool Mist can hold room cards or an availability calendar, while Floating Petal can distinguish a selected suite or a quiet amenity panel.

Reserve Wet Stone for small arrival badges, dividers, or an amenity icon, using Pool Mist for any text inside it. Start with a 57/31/12 split across background, primary, and highlight surfaces. Add text and accent only where the choice or arrival sequence requires them.

What to watch

Reflection Ink reaches 6.76:1 on Dawn Peach, 10.40:1 on Pool Mist, and 10.31:1 on Floating Petal. It reaches only 2.08:1 on Wet Stone, failing both the 4.5:1 normal-text threshold and the 3:1 large-text threshold. Use Pool Mist on Wet Stone instead at 5.01:1; Floating Petal is another original-color alternative at 4.96:1.

Avoid blurring text with translucent overlays, especially on the peach background. Keep stone details small, give each room state a word or icon, and separate Pool Mist from Floating Petal with spacing or shape because their light values are close.

A considered balance

Make room for
the right colors.

Use Dawn Peach for the booking canvas with Reflection Ink copy. Build room and date cards from Pool Mist, use Floating Petal for selected suites or amenity panels, and keep Wet Stone to arrival badges and dividers with Pool Mist text. Begin with a 57/31/12 surface split.

Start with a generous background, introduce your primary color, then use the highlight sparingly. The ratios are a guide for large surfaces, not a fixed recipe.

Background · Primary · Highlight. Use text and accent colors where their roles call for them.

Text on background
6.76:1 #2A1838 on #D09A8D · AA normal text
Text on primary
10.40:1 #2A1838 on #A9D7D6 · AAA normal text
Text on highlight
10.31:1 #2A1838 on #D8C7E8 · AAA normal text
Text on accent
2.08:1 #2A1838 on #515250 · Not suitable for text

The original text has low contrast (2.08:1). This example uses Pool Mist (#A9D7D6) from the same palette instead of #2A1838 on #515250, improving contrast to 5.01:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.

Contrast is calculated for these specific pairs. Large text means at least 24 px regular or about 18.7 px bold. Check every pairing in your final design.

Text/background contrast: 6.76:1. This is one measured pair, not a guarantee for the whole palette. Check every actual text/background pairing against WCAG AA. Prefer readable combinations from the original colors, keep visible keyboard focus, and never communicate state through color alone. If no original pairing meets the requirement, propose a separately labeled derived color with its original HEX, proposed HEX, purpose and measured contrast. Never overwrite the source palette.

This guide preserves the original HEX values. Review the output before using it.
