The mood

A terrace projects across a Night Cyan hero while a curved Moon Rose reflection crosses the still water. Water Blue divides the surface into solid bands, keeping the moon path crisp and graphic.

A Room Linen stay card sits beside the terrace outline, and Reflection Green marks the band nearest the room. Room, Terrace, and Stay remain written beside the silhouette, card edge, and separated reflection bands.

How to use it

Use Night Cyan for the booking hero with Moon Rose for the main title and terrace labels. Build the primary water plane in Water Blue with Room Linen text.

Use Room Linen for the stay card with Night Cyan text. Set Reflection Green as a restrained reflection band with Room Linen text. The 57/28/15 ratio means 57% Night Cyan background, 28% Water Blue primary surface, and 15% Room Linen highlight card; Reflection Green remains outside the surface split as a supporting band.

What to watch

Moon Rose reaches 6.24:1 on Night Cyan. It reaches 4.22:1 on Water Blue and 3.19:1 on Reflection Green, passing large-text AA but failing normal-text AA, and only 1.70:1 on Room Linen, failing both sizes. Use Room Linen on Water Blue at 7.16:1, Night Cyan on Room Linen at 10.59:1, and Room Linen on Reflection Green at 5.42:1.

Keep every reflection band solid and fully opaque. Preserve visible gaps between bands, and repeat Room, Terrace, and Stay as written labels beside their outlines.

A considered balance

Make room for
the right colors.

Use Night Cyan as the hero field with Moon Rose display text. Build Water Blue water planes with Room Linen text, set Room Linen as the stay card with Night Cyan text, and use Room Linen text on Reflection Green bands. Preserve solid, full-opacity original HEX values and a 57/28/15 background-primary-highlight surface ratio.

Start with a generous background, introduce your primary color, then use the highlight sparingly. The ratios are a guide for large surfaces, not a fixed recipe.

Background · Primary · Highlight. Use text and accent colors where their roles call for them.

Text on background
6.24:1 #F2A6B2 on #073C45 · AA normal text
Text on primary
4.22:1 #F2A6B2 on #2C4F87 · AA large text only

The original text has low contrast (4.22:1). This example uses Room Linen (#F1F0EE) from the same palette instead of #F2A6B2 on #2C4F87, improving contrast to 7.16:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.

Text on highlight
1.70:1 #F2A6B2 on #F1F0EE · Not suitable for text

The original text has low contrast (1.70:1). This example uses Night Cyan (#073C45) from the same palette instead of #F2A6B2 on #F1F0EE, improving contrast to 10.59:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.

Text on accent
3.19:1 #F2A6B2 on #356C4D · AA large text only

The original text has low contrast (3.19:1). This example uses Room Linen (#F1F0EE) from the same palette instead of #F2A6B2 on #356C4D, improving contrast to 5.42:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.

Contrast is calculated for these specific pairs. Large text means at least 24 px regular or about 18.7 px bold. Check every pairing in your final design.

Text/background contrast: 6.24:1. This is one measured pair, not a guarantee for the whole palette. Check every actual text/background pairing against WCAG AA. Prefer readable combinations from the original colors, keep visible keyboard focus, and never communicate state through color alone. If no original pairing meets the requirement, propose a separately labeled derived color with its original HEX, proposed HEX, purpose and measured contrast. Never overwrite the source palette.

This guide preserves the original HEX values. Review the output before using it.
