A little color. A new perspective.

Five colors, endless possibilities. Select a color to copy its HEX.
A playful lending-library palette combining deep game-table cyan, clear neutral type, pale violet rule sheets, lively green dice, and quiet gray labels. Made for searchable boxes, availability states, and return steps.
The feeling
A numbered game box with folded rules, bright dice, and a clear path from borrowing to return
Explore this palette ↓Box Eight slides open to reveal a folded rule sheet and a pair of green dice waiting in their tray. Game Library gives the collection a deep cyan field, while Rulebook White makes box numbers, search results, and borrowing steps easy to follow.
Folded Rules brings a pale violet paper layer to each listing. Dice Green marks the small moment of play, and Return Label keeps due dates and shelf metadata quiet. The system feels cheerful and communal while every game remains easy to find and return.
Use Game Library for the search header, collection frame, or numbered lending boxes, with Rulebook White for normal copy. Folded Rules can hold game summaries and borrowing instructions, using Game Library as its text color.
Apply Dice Green to an available-game marker, current step, or one playful tray detail, again with Game Library text. Return Label can carry due dates, shelf codes, and secondary metadata with Rulebook White. Begin with a 56/32/12 split across background, primary, and highlight surfaces.
Rulebook White reaches 8.11:1 on Game Library and 4.65:1 on Return Label, passing normal-text AA. It reaches only 1.41:1 on Folded Rules and 1.62:1 on Dice Green, so both fail the 4.5:1 normal-text threshold and the 3:1 large-text threshold. Use Game Library instead: it reaches 5.77:1 on Folded Rules and 4.99:1 on Dice Green.
Keep green to availability or the current borrowing step, and pair it with a word or symbol. Do not rely on violet paper alone to separate sections; use headings, spacing, and borders so the rules remain clear when color is unavailable.
A considered balance
Use Game Library for the collection frame and Rulebook White for its text. Build listing and instruction cards from Folded Rules with Game Library copy. Reserve Dice Green for availability or the active borrowing step, also with Game Library text. Use Return Label for due dates and shelf codes. Begin with a 56/32/12 surface split.
Start with a generous background, introduce your primary color, then use the highlight sparingly. The ratios are a guide for large surfaces, not a fixed recipe.

Background · Primary · Highlight. Use text and accent colors where their roles call for them.
Recommended text on primary
The original text has low contrast (1.41:1). This example uses Game Library (#064F59) from the same palette instead of #F0F0EE on #D8C5EA, improving contrast to 5.77:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.
Recommended text on highlight
The original text has low contrast (1.62:1). This example uses Game Library (#064F59) from the same palette instead of #F0F0EE on #65D65E, improving contrast to 4.99:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.
Contrast is calculated for these specific pairs. Large text means at least 24 px regular or about 18.7 px bold. Check every pairing in your final design.

Use Return Label for due dates and shelf codes. Begin with a 56/32/12 surface split. Avoid: Rulebook White fails both normal- and large-text AA on Folded Rules at 1.41:1 and Dice Green at 1.62:1. Use approximately 56% background, 32% primary, and 12% highlight across large surfaces. These ratios are a starting point, not a rigid rule. Use text and accent colors according to their roles. Keep the original HEX values. Choose readable text/background pairings without silently changing the palette. Do not introduce unrelated colors.

Text/background contrast: 8.11:1. This is one measured pair, not a guarantee for the whole palette. Check every actual text/background pairing against WCAG AA. Prefer readable combinations from the original colors, keep visible keyboard focus, and never communicate state through color alone. If no original pairing meets the requirement, propose a separately labeled derived color with its original HEX, proposed HEX, purpose and measured contrast. Never overwrite the source palette.
This guide preserves the original HEX values. Review the output before using it.
