A little color. A new perspective.

Five colors, endless possibilities. Select a color to copy its HEX.
A minimal all-season productivity palette built from four ordered blues and one soft neutral text color for tasks, queues, time blocks, and history.
The feeling
One active task, a short blue queue, a reserved hour, and an orderly completion history
Explore this palette ↓One task sits at the center of a deep blue workday, with a short queue arranged behind it. Quiet Type keeps instructions and task names clear, while Queue Blue gives supporting items a measured middle value.
Time Block opens a lighter blue interval for the next hour. Active Blue strengthens the current-task marker, and Day Canvas holds the full schedule without adding an unrelated status color.
Use Day Canvas for the main app field and Quiet Type for navigation, task names, completion labels, and queue details. Queue Blue can form queued-task panel surfaces carrying Quiet Type, while Active Blue can hold the current task or its labeled marker with Quiet Type set over it.
Use Time Block as a light panel surface with Day Canvas for its time and task text; do not place small Quiet Type on it. Begin with 65% Day Canvas, 26% Queue Blue, and 9% Time Block, then add the active blue surface where one task needs priority.
Quiet Type reaches 12.89:1 on Day Canvas, 4.74:1 on Queue Blue, and 6.03:1 on Active Blue, so those pairs pass normal-size AA. On Time Block it measures only 1.95:1 and fails both normal and large text. Use Day Canvas text on the light blue panel instead at 6.60:1.
Queue Blue and Active Blue are only 1.27:1 apart. The active task therefore needs a written state, distinct shape, and position in addition to the deeper blue. Completion history should also remain labeled rather than relying on a tonal shift alone.
A considered balance
Use Day Canvas for the app field, Quiet Type for essential copy, Queue Blue for queued-task panels, Time Block as a light panel carrying Day Canvas text, and Active Blue as the current-task surface carrying Quiet Type. Do not use color alone for task state.
Start with a generous background, introduce your primary color, then use the highlight sparingly. The ratios are a guide for large surfaces, not a fixed recipe.

Background · Primary · Highlight. Use text and accent colors where their roles call for them.
Recommended text on highlight
The original text has low contrast (1.95:1). This example uses Day Canvas (#10284A) from the same palette instead of #EFF0ED on #91B1D0, improving contrast to 6.60:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.
Contrast is calculated for these specific pairs. Large text means at least 24 px regular or about 18.7 px bold. Check every pairing in your final design.

Do not use color alone for task state. Avoid: Quiet Type on Time Block is only 1.95:1 and fails normal and large text. Use Day Canvas text on that light panel at 6.60:1. Queue Blue and Active Blue are only 1.27:1 apart, so active state also needs a label, shape, and fixed position. Use approximately 65% background, 26% primary, and 9% highlight across large surfaces. These ratios are a starting point, not a rigid rule. Use text and accent colors according to their roles. Keep the original HEX values. Choose readable text/background pairings without silently changing the palette. Do not introduce unrelated colors.

Background is the canvas, text is readable copy, primary is a key surface, highlight draws attention, and accent adds small secondary details.

This is one measured pair, not a guarantee for the whole palette. Check every actual text/background pairing against WCAG AA. Prefer readable combinations from the original colors, keep visible keyboard focus, and never communicate state through color alone. If no original pairing meets the requirement, propose a separately labeled derived color with its original HEX, proposed HEX, purpose and measured contrast. Never overwrite the source palette.
This guide preserves the original HEX values. Review the output before using it.
