The mood

A deep cocoa case holds a compact family of lip colors without borrowing extra hues. Blush lettering, brick-red packs, pale apricot shade cards, and gray-rose details move through one warm tonal range.

How to use it

Cocoa Case forms the collection backdrop with Label Blush for the range name and navigation at 10.14:1. Brick Color carries the main cartons and selected-shade panel with blush text at 4.71:1. Give each brick panel an Apricot Card edge: it reaches 3.66:1 against brick and 7.89:1 against cocoa.

Apricot Card holds shade names and range information in Cocoa Case at 7.89:1. Refill Rose supports refill-format details with Cocoa Case text at 4.66:1 and separates directly from the dark background at the same ratio. Mark the chosen shade with a swatch shape, check, and “Selected shade.” Divide visible surfaces 50% cocoa, 34% brick, and 16% apricot; gray rose remains a smaller detail layer.

What to watch

Label Blush fails on Apricot Card at 1.28:1 and Refill Rose at 2.18:1, so both need Cocoa Case text. Brick Color and Cocoa Case are only 2.15:1 apart, which is why the apricot edge is required. Brick and gray rose reach 2.16:1; keep refill details on cocoa rather than inside brick packs.

A considered balance

Make room for
the right colors.

Use Cocoa Case for the collection canvas with Label Blush text. Frame Brick Color packages in Apricot Card and use blush labels. Put cocoa text on apricot shade cards and Refill Rose details. Add a swatch, check, and Selected shade label.

Start with a generous background, introduce your primary color, then use the highlight sparingly. The ratios are a guide for large surfaces, not a fixed recipe.

Background · Primary · Highlight. Use text and accent colors where their roles call for them.

Text on background
10.14:1 #F3D4D0 on #3A2722 · AAA normal text
Text on primary
4.71:1 #F3D4D0 on #9E3F35 · AA normal text
Text on highlight
1.28:1 #F3D4D0 on #EAB894 · Not suitable for text

The original text has low contrast (1.28:1). This example uses Cocoa Case (#3A2722) from the same palette instead of #F3D4D0 on #EAB894, improving contrast to 7.89:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.

Text on accent
2.18:1 #F3D4D0 on #B28B8A · Not suitable for text

The original text has low contrast (2.18:1). This example uses Cocoa Case (#3A2722) from the same palette instead of #F3D4D0 on #B28B8A, improving contrast to 4.66:1. This meets WCAG AA for normal text.

Contrast is calculated for these specific pairs. Large text means at least 24 px regular or about 18.7 px bold. Check every pairing in your final design.

Text/background contrast: 10.14:1. This is one measured pair, not a guarantee for the whole palette. Check every actual text/background pairing against WCAG AA. Prefer readable combinations from the original colors, keep visible keyboard focus, and never communicate state through color alone. If no original pairing meets the requirement, propose a separately labeled derived color with its original HEX, proposed HEX, purpose and measured contrast. Never overwrite the source palette.

This guide preserves the original HEX values. Review the output before using it.
